Low-fidelity prototype

Usability Test: Findings
I conducted 5 rounds of usability testing, 3 with a low-fidelity prototype and the final 2 with a high-fidelity prototype. Findings from the first 3 studies helped guide the designs from low fidelity to high-fidelity. The last 2 usability testings revealed aspects of the mockups that needed refining low fidelity

Refining the design
During the first 3 usability tests with the low-fidelity prototype, users said they had trouble finding the search bar anywhere in the application. To fix this I put the search bar in the bottom navigation to make it more accessible.

The second round of usability testing revealed that some users wanted to bypass the onboarding process. To fix this I added the option to skip or exit the onboarding process allowing users to shop as guests rather than having to sign up. guests

The Onboarding Flow
Here is a quick video of the final mockup with the onboarding flow. I used my preferred colors and fonts when I did A/B testing on style tiles. To recap the outcome, I had a 100% usability success rate, and the look and feel were rated a 5 by 80% of users. were

The Result
The final step was completing a high-fidelity prototype, and preparing the design to be handed off as if it were going to a development team.
I learned on this project the importance of reiterating the designs based on user feedback to create an enjoyable experience for users.
